Double Burnout for The Happy Crew

Kevin and Delana Harvick should be happy tonite! Phoenix was very good to them. Hap won the race and Ron Hornaday, after fighting a pit road penalty, which put him at the back of the pack, fought long and hard… then joined the ranks of history by taking his Fourth Truck Series Championship and being the oldest NASCAR Champ in history. Wow! Congrats old timer! (I am older than he is, by 6 months.)

The Double Burnout to celebrate the wins were pretty impressive. Brought the old tears to my eyes.

With 2 of the 3 series clinched…Yes. Clinched…We may as well congratulate 2009 NNWS Champ KyBu right now.

As far as The Chase is concerned, the suspense builds. Will Jimmie Johnson be able to maintain his lead to take the Cup Championship? Maybe. Maybe not.

I wrote an article in January, when I did the ’scope’s for 2009, that I am on the edge of my seat on. So far so good. I said there would be a lot of controversy towards the end of Oct. with NASCAR, the organization and the unhappiness of the fans…True. I also said that in the last three races of the Chase that Jimmie would have some bad luck, resulting in him losing the Cup. We will see.

BUT…

Remember I also reserved my right to be wrong where Jimmie is concerned. His horoscope is incredibly complicated, and without the overlay of Chad Knaus’s ’scope (which I have learned to always look at ) I have been wrong twice. Chad is inherent… the lucky charm for JJ at this time. Jimmie went into a much less lucky and down right annoying, (beat your head against the wall for the next 2 years), phase of his life the end of October…we can’t all have the lucky star with us forever. If it was just Jimmie I was looking at, I would say no way.  Then there is Chad, who just entered into a phase that is as lucky as Jimmie’s has been for the last four years, and it will continue for another four years. Personally, I think the Championship lays all on Chad’s lucky star’s this time, because…believe me… Jimmie’s are gone.

We will see. The ’scope’s for Sunday’s race will be up and in depth tomorrow afternoon. Do I know what they say?…Oh heck yeah! Am I am going to make a call? Nope. I made my call in January. We will compare it Sunday after the race. So far I am running around 90% on predictions, a little lower than normal. I must admit, I have been pretty lazy.

I was bored with the Jimmie Johnson show.

I am not anymore. The Chase is ON.

Tally Ho!
