There is a lot of polarization on NASCAR's penalty of probation of three race for Carl Edwards. The NASCAR community is, and has been in an uproar since Sunday.  I will be posting various opinions from different fans,  and driver's periodically throught the day today.  You might want to catch Onpitrow.com's radio program, Bench Racing with Steve and Charlie, online, or on the air today. I don't feel Carl Edwards should have gotten a penalty at all for his actions. His intentional wrecking of Brad Keselowski was needed to send Brad a message.

When it comes to the safety aspect of the wreck that happened, it is as much NASCAR's fault, as it is Edward's fault. NASCAR designed the wing that caused that car to lift when the angle of the wing was no longer being used to keep the rear end down. Edwards simply meant to spin Keselowski into the infield to send him a message and perform the same act that Denny Hamlin did to Keselowski during the Nationwide finale last year at Homestead. I think a three race probation is effectively a non-penalty from NASCAR and they made the right call on that. Perhaps Brad will stop running into everyone out there on the track, think about their safety for a change, since someone finally had the gaul to make him think about his. ©2010 Nicholas Morse www.nicmorse.com
